It’s Happening!!

Today I uploaded the text and cover to the publishing site and ordered ten examination copies. With the help of Laura, my graphics consultant, we finalized the cover and sent the whole thing off. I’m grateful to have Laura’s help. It’s not enough to have a front and back cover. The publishing site calculates the width of the book spine, based on the number of pages. We have 105 pages, which makes a 1/4″ spine, in case you were wondering. Laura works magic with her computer system and created the full cover graphic. I even have my own bar code, embedding the ISBN and price.

Next week I’ll distribute the printed copies to my inner circle of readers to make sure I haven’t overlooked any glaring errors. Then, my Etsy shop will open for business and I’ll order and distribute finished copies to influencers and launch my new career in social media marketing. May the force be with me.
